Tumi is a qualified charted accountant and leads Invequity by managing the governance and investment teams. Tumi holds a BCom in Accounting Science f rom the University of Johannesburg and began her working career at a global auditing firm where she served her articles until 2006. Tumi has strong financial sector governance experience and serves on multiple investment boards and strives to enable meaningful opportunities for those who otherwise would not have access to them.

With over 26 years of work experience, Tulani offers Invequity invaluable directorship in the form of organisational strategic plans and facilitating the implementation of operational structure and improved HR policies.
Tulani has a qualification in Education from the University of Zimbabwe as well as a diploma in Business Studies and Accounting f rom the Harare Technical College. She also serves on numerous boards and panels and has completed various courses in the fields of Corporate Human Resources and Transformation.

Murray is a CA (SA) with extensive experience in B-BBEE compliance empowerment transactions and business strategy.
Over the last 10 years Murray has been instrumental in the start-up and development of 11 companies operating in advisory services, education and training, and engineering services. These companies have all achieved significant returns to shareholders and employ over 300 people. In 2015 Murray co- founded Invequity (Pty) Ltd, a bespoke private equity firm that specialises in niche investments that deliver growth and transformative outcomes. Investments include pharmaceutical, chemical, petroleum and engineering businesses f rom committed capital that exceeds R150m.

Suhana is an admitted attorney responsible for the service, operations, pre- and post-investment governance, and support for Invequity. Suhana is a graduate of the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal where she received her Bachelor of Arts and LLB degrees. Furthermore, she obtained her certification in Risk & Compliance Management f rom University of Johannesburg.
She has been a practising attorney since 2008 with experience in operations, risk and compliance management and serves on multiple company boards, and avidly supports women entrepreneurship, inclusive growth, and employment.

BRAD GREEN (Key Individual)

With an extensive background in investment advisory and services, Invequity director Brad guides the Invequity team by providing fundamental business and investment solutions that best suit the client.
His experience further aids in the management and investment of the equity funds. Brad graduated from the University of Southern Queensland in Australia where he obtained his MBA. Further to this, he is also a certified Key Individual of the Financial Services Board South Africa.

Geoff Blount has over 25 years of experience in the investment industry and has a wealth of knowledge across all investment classes.
Geoff completed his B. Com Hons at Wits, where he also lectured corporate finance before becoming a portfolio manager at Societe Generale Frankel Pollak (later to become Sasfin Securities). After that, Geoff headed the research team at Investment Solutions, South Africa’s largest multi-manager and part of the Alexander Forbes group, before becoming CEO as Cannon Asset Managers, the deep value asset manager. More recently Geoff was one of the founding directors of TIP One, a listed fund that is building a portfolio of BEE schemes that are invested into listed companies. Geoff is also a qualified CFA.

FEZILE MAHLANGU (Administrator)

Fezile is an Administrator for Invequity and oversees the admin duties for the company. Further to this, she liaises with the CIPC on behalf of the company. Fezile has obtained a higher certificate in Economics and Business Management Science with over 5 year’s work experience in corporate fields and that uniquely qualifies her to carry out the administration for the Invequity Team.

ALICE YALUMA (Executive Personal Assistant)

Alice is the Executive Personal Assistant to the Executives of Invequity.Alice holds a diploma in HR with 7 years’ experience in office administration.
Thanks to excellent organisational skills, Alice is instrumental to the daily operations of the business.

DANIELLA GIOIA (Risk Governance and Compliance Officer)

Daniella is the Risk Governance and Compliance Officer of Invequity with the primary responsibility of defining, creating and monitoring Invequity and its subsidiaries’ policies and procedures in support of regulatory compliance, procedural compliance and strategy as well as establishing and managing risk.


As a graduate of University of Pretoria, Daniella holds a master’s degree and was admitted as an attorney in 2011. She has also completed the Compliance Essentials course with the University of Cape Town in 2022, which further strengthens Invequity’s compliance framework. She also completed the SAVCA Foundation programme in Private Equity which has helped further the success of Invequity and their clients.


Daniella oversees the development and maintenance of an effective legal, governance, legal and compliance policy management and company secretarial function within Invequity to ensure prudent risk management across Invequity and its subsidiaries. 

MEGAN VISSER (Senior Legal Associate)

Megan is the head of group legal at Invequity. Megan completed here BCom Law and LLB degrees at the University of Johannesburg in 2009 whereafter she completed her articles and served a senior associate at a top-tier law firm in Sandton.    
Megan has extensive legal experience in commercial, corporate, and private equity, having assisted with the implementation of numerous structures and mergers and acquisitions for Invequity and its clients.

Zilethile is the finance associate at Invequity and is responsible for all finance and compliance matter regarding the funds.  
As a registered tax practitioner and Associate General Accountant (SA), Zilethile has been instrumental in engagements with clients f rom different industries and has developed a skill set that includes risk assessment and monitoring of controls in relevant business processes, accounting expertise and project management.

Phillip holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Management f rom the University of Pretoria (Tuks). Phillip drives the campaign for our new EME solution, the Let’s Grow Fund, while optimizing the sales process to provide our customers with a positive experience. He is people-driven and strives to leave every encounter with a meaningful contribution.

Our core focus is to drive growth in our investments and ultimately the South African economy through “venturing”.
